President, Chief Executive Officer, Board Member
Dr. Soppimath has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and drug delivery industry. He has developed more than 20 complex injectable and ophthalmic products during his career. He has published more than 25 research articles with 10 granted patents and 15 patent applications to his credit.
Prior to joining Nevakar, he served as Senior Director of Formulation Development at Pfizer and as Vice President of Formulations, R&D at InnoPharma, Inc.
Dr. Soppimath received a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science from Karnatak University, focusing on nano and microparticle drug delivery systems. He received his MBA from the Martin Tuchman School of Management.
Vice President, Head of Regulatory Affairs
Nithila has over 18 years of experience in regulatory strategy and Global Health Authority submissions, specializing in small molecule drugs, biologics of different therapeutic areas, dosage forms and drug-device combination products. She brings deep expertise in navigating complex regulatory pathways and possesses hands-on experience in pre-approval and post-approval regulatory activities. Nithila has a strong track record of driving successful NDA/ANDA submissions, managing complex regulatory challenges, and shaping policy strategies that support innovation and compliance. Her leadership has transformed U.S.-based regulatory units into efficient global functions, and her expertise spans CMC, clinical, labeling, pharmacovigilance, post-marketing surveillance, and regulatory operations.
Prior to joining Nevakar as VP-Head of Regulatory Affairs, Nithila served as Head of Regulatory Affairs at Aucta Pharmaceuticals and Director of Regulatory Affairs at Halozyme, Inc. Her regulatory leadership roles contributed to regulatory review processes in an official capacity, offering her a unique dual perspective that bridges regulatory science and agency expectations. Known for her collaborative leadership and strategic foresight, she is committed to advancing patient access to safe, effective, and innovative therapies.
Nithila holds an MBA from CIMAT, India and a Bachelor’s in Microbiology from Ethiraj College, Madras University, India.
Vice President, Technical Operations
Rekha Nayak is a highly accomplished pharmaceutical product development executive with over two decades of experience leading the development of sterile injectable and ophthalmic drug products. With deep domain expertise in formulation, analytical development, and regulatory strategy, she has successfully driven more than 45 original ANDA and NDA submissions throughout her career.
Most recently, Rekha served as Director of Research & Development at Renaissance Pharma, where she built an R&D organization from the ground up, overseeing cross-functional teams in formulation, analytics, and project management. Her leadership led to the rapid development and submission of over 15 ANDAs within three years. Prior to that, at InnoPharma, she played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s R&D function and infrastructure, contributing to over 30 ANDA submissions and securing multiple FDA approvals. Her earlier tenure at Baxter further solidified her technical foundation, where she led formulation initiatives and filed patents in support of proprietary injectable products.
Rekha holds a master’s degree in industrial pharmacy from St. John’s University, and both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Pharmaceutics from Mangalore University in India
Vice President, Quality and Compliance
Glenn has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in small molecule drugs, biologics, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), including drug-device combinations. His expertise spans pharmaceutical clean rooms, sterilization technologies, and oral dosage manufacturing (J&J/Roche). He has extensive experience in supplier/contractor quality management, auditing, and ensuring material quality for development and commercial activities (Roche/InnoPharma/Pfizer).
Currently, Glenn leads the quality and compliance teams supporting sterile pharmaceutical development, regulatory submissions, and commercial production (Nevakar). His team has supported four NDA approvals and one NDA PAS, with additional products in development, including aseptically filled vials, prefilled syringes, IV bags, and ophthalmic solutions.
He holds a B.S. in Biology from Monmouth University (1997) and completed the BioPharma Innovation Mini-MBA at Rutgers University (2021).
Director, Finance and Accounting
Jackie Lofaro is a seasoned finance executive with over 25 years of experience in financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning across life sciences, consumer goods, and technology. As Associate Director at Nevakar, she aligns financial strategy with business goals in fast-paced environments.
Previously, she held senior consulting roles at Sharp Electronics and other Fortune 500 companies, optimizing reporting systems and decision-making. At Quaker Pet Group, she led finance and accounting, played a key role in a successful merger, and improved audit readiness. Her early career at Unilever provided a strong foundation in corporate finance.
Jackie holds a B.S. in Accounting from Saint Peter’s University and is recognized for her analytical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and ability to drive results under tight deadlines.
Director, Human Resources
Sandy Grant is an accomplished human resources leader with extensive experience across fintech, pharmaceuticals, biotech, technology, and insurance. She has led HR functions in both high-growth startups and established organizations, specializing in talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and organizational development.
Sandy brings expertise in recruiting, employee relations, policy development, onboarding, and organizational effectiveness. She is recognized for building trusted relationships at all levels of the organization and delivering people-focused solutions that foster a positive culture and drive business growth.
Throughout her career, Sandy has designed and implemented HR strategies that support business objectives, cultivate strong people managers, and promote inclusive, high-performing workplaces. Her collaborative and practical approach makes her a valued advisor to leadership teams and employees alike.
Sandy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware.
